What is a Healthy Baby Home Party?

Seventh Generation's Healthy Baby Home Parties are fun and informative for you and your guests, and together you will create a healthy environment for your families! And of course, the most fun of all is the opportunity to get together and talk about your kids and the things that matter to you most.

The Healthy Baby Home Party kit contains educational information from non-profit partner Healthy Child Healthy World, a fun party game to help you share tips, and products and coupons from Seventh Generation, bobble, Zarbee's Naturals, and other brands.

What is the Application Process?

-All applicants must be members of Generation Good first. Sign up at generationgood.net.
-Accept the Healthy Baby Home Party Application offer on your Generation Good dashboard and complete the application.
-Applicants will be notified in mid August on whether or not they have been selected to host a party via an email to the email address assigned to their Generation Good member profile.
-All selected applicants will then be asked to confirm their participation by accepting the Healthy Baby Home Party Mission and confirming their shipping address before they are sent the Healthy Baby Home Party Kit. Each selected host will then receive a free party kit in the mail. We ask that all parties are held in August/September. I was sent a bottle of both the Dial Baby Body & Hair Wash AND Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash to try at home. I'll start with the foaming hand soap since that was my favorite. :) The scent was called Watery Melon and was REALLY melony without being overly strong or sickening sweet. It had a nice lather that was easy to spread over your hands while washing. The creamy lather did a great job of cleaning and left a nice sweet fragrance on your skin. The pump is easy to use for hands of all sizes. The packaging is brightly colored and appealing to kids so they might be more motivated to wash since it is a product made just for them. :)

The Dial Baby Body & Hair Wash is tear free and hypoallergenic so you don't have to worry about any skin irritations or stingy eyes! Why ruin bath time with a product that stings your eyes?! The thing that I liked most about this product was that it lathered quickly & easily and rinsed thoroughly. There wasn't any slimy residue left on the skin. I honestly didn't notice ANY fragrance whatsoever so I would say with absolute confidence that this product would be appropriate for even the most sensitive skin. If you have little ones that love bath time, give this product a try. My sister-in-law who has THE most sensitive skin I have ever seen is interested in trying it for herself. She can only use unscented products so I told her about this one. :) The Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash is great for anyone so even if you don't have any kids and love trying out fun products & fragrances, give it a try. My husband is a grown man (well, most of the time anyways) ;) and he actually LOVED the fragrance, LOL!

As for where to purchase these products, I know you can get them both at Walmart. I already saw the Dial Baby Body & Hair Wash there. It was a bit difficult to find as I expected it to be with the adult body washes. There used to a be a section near there with baby/kid friendly products but not anymore. The section has now moved over to the cosmetics section. They have an aisle full of sunscreens and kid-friendly soaps, bubble baths, etc. I know all stores are different but I wanted to give a heads up in case you were having difficulties finding it! :)

I LOVE in-wash scent boosters and Purex makes THE BEST ONES, in my opinion! I have been using the solid crystal versions for months now so I was SUPER excited to try the liquid version. I had a feeling that the scent would last even longer on my laundry so I wanted to see if I was right. :) Adding it to the laundry was super easy - just like adding in liquid detergent or fabric softener. I loved that I could easily adjust the amount of liquid depending on how much fragrance I wanted left on my laundry. I will admit, I am not a big fan of lavender which is what I was sent to try. Floral fragrances just aren't my thing as I tend to go more for fruity and/or fresh scents. The scent is VERY strong which I really like. (maybe not so much with this specific fragrance since it is lavender BUT I know I will appreciate it when I buy either of the other 2 fragrances, LOL) Right out of the bottle, the scent is powerful and noticeable. I couldn't wait to see what my laundry smelled like after washing and drying! I could smell the lavender while the laundry was washing and when I took it out of the washer, WOW! The fragrance was still there, strong as can be! (a good thing, in my opinion!) Even after drying and putting the clothes away, the lavender fragrance lingered for several days. I know it says that the freshness lasts for months but I didn't notice it as much after awhile. Maybe that is just my nose getting used to it?? :) Either way, I would definitely try this product in another fragrance. The next time I go to Walmart, I'm going to see if they have the Fresh Spring Waters fragrance in stock because I really want to try that one. Then I won't have to listen to my husband complain that his clothes smell too girly!!! LOL

I haven't looked for this product in the stores yet but it is supposed to be available this month so I would probably start with Walmart as that is typically where I find all the latest Purex products first. I tried the Dial Miracle Oil body wash so I kind of knew what to expect in the way of scent. I was just as impressed with the hand soap as I was the body wash! The fragrance is WONDERFUL! It is exotic and sweet smelling, almost like a vanilla but not at all sickening sweet. I love that the fragrance is long lasting and I get occasional wafts of it throughout the day. (one thing I tend to look for when selecting hand soaps) The lather was plentiful and rich. I was able to get a nice, creamy lather going which rinsed completely & easily. One thing I normally don't like about super moisturizing hand soaps is that they don't rinse clean and leave my hands feeling coated or slimy. That definitely isn't the case with the Dial Miracle Oil hand soap! It rinsed clean and left my hands smooth & silky WITHOUT leftover residue. YAY! Even my husband commented on how much he liked this soap. His hands get REALLY dirty and he doesn't usually prefer using a super girly fragrance so this was a nice balance. :)

If you are like me and enjoy trying out different soap varieties, give this one a try! The fragrance is FABULOUS and it really does a great job of cleaning your hands without drying them out! Once again, Dial doesn't disappoint and I can't WAIT to see what they come out with next!! :D

I have sort of a hand soap OBSESSION! I absolutely LOVE trying out all the new scents of hand soap. I wash my hands constantly so for me, hand washing is more than just getting my hands clean. It is a pampering experience that I really want to enjoy. I LOVE hand soaps that really get my hands clean without drying them out. The problem with some deep cleaning soaps is that they strip my skin of moisture and leave them feeling very dry. That isn't the case with the Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Hand Soap. You can feel the micro-scrubbers but they aren't at all abrasive. I feel like they do help get my hands extra squeaky clean, especially after touching something especially dirty (working in the yard) or gross (cat throw up, LOL). The fragrance is absolutely wonderful! It is very sugary and sweet without being sickening sweet. Instead of a french vanilla type smell, I would describe is more as a crisp vanilla. It is hard to describe but AWESOME just the same. My hands feel clean and very moisturized after use. I think it is a wonderful additional to the Boutique Collection (which I already buy & use regularly) and something that I will continue to switch between when buying different Dial fragrances. My only complaint is that Dial keeps coming out with so many wonderful fragrances that it's hard to choose just one! :)

I think I can sum up my review in one word - FABULOUS!!!!! As you probably already know from reading my past reviews, I prefer scents that are fruity, refreshing, or clean. (not a huge fan of floral scents) The fragrance of this new Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash is AMAAAAAAZING! It is very hard to fully describe other than using the words tropical and exotic. It isn't like anything that I have ever smelled before. I want to say that I smell a hint of vanilla in there. It isn't overpowering or sickening sweet, just WONDERFUL in every way! When I think of a body wash infused with essential oils or one that claims to really nourish your skin deep down, I tend to think of a rich, creamy lather that DOESN'T always rinse well. (kind of like a lotiony texture) With the Dial Miracle Oil body wash, the lather IS very rich, luxurious, and creamy BUT surprisingly, it rinses clean. My skin doesn't have any slime or unwanted residue on it after rinsing. I'll admit, I was a little surprised by that! The fragrance left on my skin was subtle but still noticeable. Taking a shower with this body wash was like taking a little paradise vacation right there in my bathroom! LOL Needless to say, I would 100% recommend giving this product a try. If you have dry skin or just love trying new products, pick up a bottle. I really don't think you will be disappointed! (and if you are, feel free to send it my way) ;)

I was really excited to try this product as I love products that are convenient and save me time. This sounded so simple to use and I loved the idea of not having to measure detergent, screw on a messy cap, etc. I did notice that this product leaked a little around the cap. (this could be because of the shipping, though?) I had to really rinse the bottle a few times to get all the detergent/slimy feeling off of it. I definitely plan on picking up another bottle when I see this in the store to see if this was just a fluke due to shipping. The product itself did work as expected. One flip for regular loads, 2 flips for larger ones. Easy peasy! I was having a somewhat lava lamp like experience watching the cap fill and then drip back down into the bottle, LOL! I received the Mountain Breeze scent to try. PERFECT for me because that is one of my favorite scents anyway! Double score! The detergent itself did a GREAT job of cleaning my laundry and removing stains. (which to me is more important than the bottle itself) The "PowerShot" feature was cool, though. Pouring detergent was never a really big deal for me but sometimes it could get a little messy. I like to fill the cap, pour it into my washing machine, and then rinse while the water is running. Sometimes the cap would drip down the bottle and leave it feeling slimy. Maybe I am just a sloppy laundry beast, LOL. The Purex PowerShot definitely prevents that since you just flip the bottle, pour, and that's it! No guessing and no mess! If you live a busy lifestyle or just like to try out convenience products, I would consider trying this one. It's even kind of fun to use and as always, the detergent itself ROCKS!!!
