Okay, I will admit, before I was sent a bottle of Soft Scrub to try, I really wasn't THAT familiar with the Soft Scrub line of products. I have been buying Clorox and Lysol products for years and just never really tried many other products. When I first received the product, the first thing that I did was flip open the cap and smell the fragrance. VERY impressed with the fresh, lemon scent. It wasn't at all artificial and actually smelled like it was made with freshly squeezed lemon juice. I don't want to bash other brands but there was a product that I bought from Lysol and the fragrance was called Lemon Breeze. It was HORRIBLE! I know you will laugh but to me, it smelled like candied cat pee. Yes, cat pee. It had a VERY artificial lemon flavored candy smell (sweet & sugary) and left behind a bad smell that reminded me of cat urine. I didn't like it at ALL! When I received the Soft Scrub product, I wasn't sure what to expect in the way of smell so I was quite pleased with it. The fragrance is VERY important when deciding what to buy because who wants to clean with something that stinks?! Here is a pic of the exact product that I was sent. Love the bottle!



I will also admit that I do normally opt for spray bottles as they are a little more convenient and easy to use. The packaging of this bottle of Soft Scrub Total All Purpose Bath & Kitchen Cleasner wasn't at all difficult to open so I didn't mind that it wasn't in spray form. I tried it on my kitchen counters and stove top first. Oh wow, the smell was so invigorating! :) It didn't leave any film or sticky residue on the surfaces either which is VERY important. A lot of products do leave a residue which makes the surface look unclean! My stove top was sparkling and my countertops were squeaky clean! AWESOME!

I also used this product in our bathrooms (all of them) to clean the sinks, showers/tubs, and faucets. The smell lingered in the bathrooms for quite awhile so thankfully it was a scent that I liked. I was impressed how sparkly the chrome faucets looked after cleaning them with this product. They were like shiny little mirrors! The cleanser does go a long way and I found that you actually needed very little to get the surfaces super clean. Just be sure to shake up the bottle as directed before using it for optimal results. I am definitely going to buy this product again and would love to try some of the other products in the line, as well. If you are a fan of lemon Pine-sol, you should really like the scent of this product, too! The cleaning ability was great and didn't leave behind any nasty residue. Two thumbs up from me!

Okay, you know that it's healthy for you but WHAT ABOUT THE TASTE?! I wasn't sure how well I would like this cereal as I am not a huge fan of mango flavored products. They tend to taste very artificial. When I opened the box, it did smell very tropical and not sickening sweet which was a good thing. The cereal looked very appetizing and I was pleaantly surprised with how big the coconut shavings were. YUM! The texture was absolutely perfect and so crunchy! I did prefer the cereal plain over adding milk to it. The Silk Pure Almond milk that I buy is delicious but I just didn't care for it as much when combined with this cereal. I thought it made a yummy, healthy snack which is when I would most likely consume it. The overall flavor was good but I wouldn't say that it was one of my favorites. I loved the coconut flavor but the mango was just okay. (probably because I'm not a huge mango fan as it is) Would I buy this cereal again? Yes! I did think it made a good snack and I loved how tropical & unique it tasted. If you're a fan of Honey Bunches of Oats and/or tropical inspired products, give it a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. You can turn your breakfast meal or snack into a mini tropical getaway!! :)

Dial Coconut Water Body Wash Product Review

I just want everyone to know that Dial provided me with a free sample of their NEW Dial Coconut Water Body Wash so that I could review it. My opinions expressed here are my own, though, and not influenced by the company in any way. Now onto the review!!!

I am a body wash-aholic! I LOOOVE trying out new products, especially a scent that sounds new & different from other products currently on the market. I love the smell of coconut and it's something I buy frequently. (coconut scented liquid hand soap is a fave of mine!!) Based on the name alone (Coconut Water), I was thinking the product would smell somewhat tropical, maybe like a tropical coconut-filled rainforest? lol When the product arrived, I could see that it had a clear, see-through formula, not one that was opaque and creamy. Right away I was thinking that the product would smell fresh, clean, and maybe a little sweet. I opened the bottle and was pleased with the fragrance. I'll admit, it wasn't what I was expecting. It didn't have as much coconut smell as I thought it would but it was VERY fresh and clean smelling! If you are expecting something that smells SUPER coconuty like suntan lotion, you would be disappointed. It definitely isn't like that. I opt for fragrances that are either fresh or fruity. I'm not a big fan of floral scents. I liked the fragrance and couldn't wait to give it a try! I really liked all of the greens and blues on the bottle, too. They are attention grabbing and compliment the fragrance very well! Here's a picture of the bottle so you can see what I am referring to:



I have used the product several times since I received it and I am REALLY enjoying it! I will admit that the fragrance isn't what I expected. I guess when I saw the word "coconut", I immediately started thinking of something more along the lines of PURE coconut. (maybe more like a suntan lotion fragrance) I still love that it smells so crisp & refreshing yet at the same time, you still get frequent whiffs of the coconut. It is very invigorating. The body wash lathers up very well, too. I use a bath pouf and I loved that it wasn't overly thick but not too watery either. I would say that it was a little more foamy than creamy but this is perfect for me because it was so easy to rinse. Sometimes the thicker, creamier body washes leave a residue on your skin and it doesn't feel like it is rinsing off your skin completely. That wasn't the case with this product. It spread over my skin easily, rinsed completely, and left a nice, fresh scent on my skin afterwards. I think this product could be used by pretty much anyone in your household, too, since the fragrance isn't overly feminine or masculine. (and definitely not overly coconuty either) It's quite family friendly! I will definitely be buying this product again in the future. If you like coconut and opt for fresher smelling body washes, you will love this product. Two of my friends already bought it and are also enjoying it! My one friend told me that she bought the body wash for herself but her 13 year old daughter discovered it and loved it, too! :) If you happen to see it at the store, give it a try. The price is very reasonable. I think my friend said she bought it at Walmart for around $3 or less. She also mentioned a $1 off coupon floating around the internet so if you want to try the body wash, check online for the coupon first!

Dry Idea AdvancedDry Fresh Roll-On Deodorant Product Review

Before I get into my review, I just want everyone to know that Dry Idea provided a free sample of their Dry Idea AdvancedDry Fresh brand antiperspirant and deodorant so that I could review it. My opinions expressed here are my own, though, and not influenced by the company in any way. With that said, let's get on with the review!

To begin, when I first received the product, I wasn't sure how well I would like it. I honestly wasn't that familiar with roll-on deodorant. I had only tried one my entire life (an Avon roll-on deodorant which had a very "off" fragrance) and HAAAATED it. It didn't work, I hated the way it felt on my skin, and even though it was supposed to be an antiperspirant, it did nothing to protect me from sweat. YUCK! I swore I would never buy another roll-on deodorant. So, needless to say, when I received this product in the mail to try, I didn't know what to think. I really liked the packaging and the screw off lid. It seemed very high quality and durable. There were a lot of claims on the packaging and all of them sounded very appealing. (I'll get into those in just a bit) I LOVED the fragrance. It is called FRESH and it smells just that - fresh & uplifting! It wasn't overpowering and was perfect for a deodorant product. This is the scent that I would choose at the store as I prefer something fresh & clean over something soft & powdery. The claim that stood out to me the most was that it was supposed to offer 72 hour protection. Hmm... not sure I would be able to test that claim as I shower daily and apply my deodorant every morning. The fact that it was mentioned immediately made me think that I would be protected from odor for a LONG period of time and that was very reassuring! The application of the product is definitely different from my regular antiperspirant/deodorant stick. I'm used to using a solid stick so rolling that little roll-on ball around on my armpit was a little strange feeling at first. I did love how fast the product dried on my skin, though. My underarms weren't left feeling sticky or coated like they have when using other products. They felt very light, smooth, and clean. The product's fragrance was great and I liked that it was strong without being overpowering. The first day that I tried it, I applied it in the morning before work, came home after work, had dinner, worked out strenuously for a good hour, and even after all that, I could still smell the fragrance and NO hints of sweat or odor. I was impressed. I'm not going to lie, my regular brand of deodorant is great, too, but it does occasionally wear off after a long workout. So far, the Dry Idea AdvancedDry product hasn't. It does a fantastic job of blocking odor and sweat. I am really interested to try the clear gel next! I plan on buying that when the roll-on runs out. :)

I have been using this product for a few weeks now and have gotten used to the roll-on ball. I can't say that I prefer it over a regular stick type but I really don't mind it either. The product itself works GREAT and the scent is fantastic! I'm so glad they have a fresh scent as I definitely prefer that over Unscented and Powder Fresh! No matter what product form you prefer (Roll On, Clear Gel Stick, or Aerosol), this line has something for everyone. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you are interested in long lasting protection without all the mess & white stains on your clothing!

Along with my review, I am also going to provide a little extra info about this product so that you can decide for yourself if you want to give it a try. I'm sure you will, though. It's a great product!!

Purex Crystals for Baby Product Review

The first thing that I noticed about this product was the color of the bottle. LOTS of PINK!! I love that because it makes it that much easier to find on the shelf. It certainly doesn't blend in! :) I have used Purex Crystals in the past and the packaging for the Purex Crystals for Baby is very similar. Same cap and bottle shape. The main difference is the color of the bottle (pink) and the cute picture of Mom and baby on the front! I also REALLY like that you can see the actual crystals through the little "window" on the front. This is very helpful & desirable, especially when buying a product for the first time. I had a great experience with this product overall. I LOVE that it's hypoallergenic so I don't have to worry about any skin irritations. Even though it is marketed for babies, it is also GREAT for people with sensitive skin. I mentioned this in a previous review when talking about Purex Baby liquid detergent. My Mom and sister-in-law both have very sensitive skin and both have complained how they feel like they are "stuck" using unscented detergents. They want their laundry to smell good, too, but fragrances tend to irritate their skin. I tried the product myself and loved it. The scent is perfect for babies' clothing but to be honest, it doesn't have that typical powdery baby smell. It is very clean & fresh and would be appropriate for ANYONE'S laundry. I let my Mom and sister-in-law try the product, too, and they were thrilled with it. For one thing, it didn't irritate their skin, which is their main concern. They were even MORE thrilled that their laundry finally had FRAGRANCE! So even if you don't have any little ones, you could still benefit from this product if you have sensitive skin. I love that it goes in with your detergent, too. I hate when you have to remember to run back in and add an additional product to the rinse cycle. I tend to forget since I am usually doing other things. This product is great and very convenient to use. I would definitely recommend it!
