After trying the Soft Scrub Total All Purpose Bath & Kitchen Cleanser, I was actually really excited about trying the Advanced Surface product. Our kitchen sink came to mind right away because it is stainless steel and ALWAYS looks shabby even after scrubbing it. It just never shines the way it should so I was hopeful that this product could help with that! The bottle itself looks very sleek and premium. The black bottle looks high quality and even the label shines, lol! I really liked the product's application, too. You just turn the cap to open it (you don't remove it) and the product dispenses. The opening at the top of the bottle is just right and directs the gel exactly where I want it to go. I applied the gel to our kitchen sink and used the scrubby side of a sponge to spread it around. Wow, what a difference! Both sides of the sink were shiny and mirror-like. That is a sight that I haven't seen in quite some time as most cleaners just seem to clean them, not actually make them shiny.

I used the product on our countertops and stovetop, too, even though they aren't granite, marble, or glass. I wanted to see how it would perform on a regular surface, too, and I was still very pleased with it! The scent is great and not at all overpowering; very subtle and fresh smelling. I will definitely be using it again on our kitchen sink & fixtures. It's great to see them sparkle again! :)

This detergent really got me excited as I absolutely looove fruity/tropical fragrances! Based on the packaging alone, I had a feeling that I was going to love the fragrance. The label was so colorful, tropical, and refreshing. I couldn't wait to see what it actually smelled like. The name Tropical Splash is perfect for this detergent. When I opened the lid and took that first smell, I was immediately hit with a blast of fresh coconut and pineapple! The coconut was much more prominent in my opinion and gave the detergent a very tropical feel to it. (I could see myself buying this as a body wash fragrance and loving it!!) The scent wasn't very strong so I wasn't sure how long it would last on my clothes. Sometimes the fruitier scents don't seem to last as long as the clean/fresh fragrances.

The performance of this detergent was right on par with other Purex detergents that I have previously tried. My laundry ALWAYS comes out clean. While the cleaning power was great (as usual), I can't say that I was thrilled with the level of scent left on my clothes. Normally our whole downstairs is filled with fragrance while running the washing machine but that really didn't happen with this detergent. I could smell the detergent in the laundry room but it didn't go much further than that. Not a big deal since it isn't meant to freshen your home anyway, lol. It's a laundry detergent, not an air freshener! :)

I do like to smell the detergent on the laundry after removing it from the dryer, though, and unfortunately, the fragrance didn't last that long. I could barely smell it when taking the clothes out of the washing machine. I got occasional whiffs of the tropical smell but it wasn't as strong as I would have liked. My Mom on the other hand, LOVED the fragrance as she has sensitive skin and doesn't like a ton of fragrance left on her clothes. This detergent didn't irritate her skin at all and she loved the tropical smell! For her, it was a win win!

I didn't dislike this product at all but the scent just wasn't quite strong enough for me. I still think I prefer the clean/fresh Purex scents over this one. They last longer on my clothes which keeps them smelling fresher, longer! The cleaning abilities of this detergent were great, though, and got my laundry squeaky clean! If you prefer a more subtle fragrance left on your clothes, you would probably really enjoy this product.

My first impression when I read the label on the front of the bottle was WOW! This detergent does it ALL! Detergent, fabric softener, AND extra fragrance?! Sounds good to me! I'm all about using less products so I was excited to try this! I opened the lid and was immediately hit with a clean, fresh smell! To me, it smelled EXACTLY like Purex Crystals in the blue bottle which I buy regularly. If you've tried that product and like the smell, you will love this! The actual fragrance name is Fresh Spring Waters. I will be honest... after using this product, I really don't see a need to add ADDITIONAL Purex Crystals. My laundry came out smelling SO good without them. I think it might be a little too much if you added more but if you like a SUPER strong scent left on your clothes, you might want to experiment with it.

The detergent worked very well, just like all other Purex detergents that I have tried. It really got our clothes squeaky clean without the need of any pre-treaters or stain removers. YAY! To be fair, we didn't have any massive stains or anything, just everyday wear, dirt, sweat, etc. The product did suds up well in the washing machine and left our whole downstairs smelling clean and fresh! :) I was confident that the laundry would come out smelling great! I was definitely right! Even after I took the clothes out of the dryer, I could still smell the fragrance on them. Since the product said it contained fabric softener, I tried running a few loads without adding any additional fabric softener. On some loads, I also added in a dryer sheet. For some things like towels and sheets, I think I would opt for the extra softening abilities. Just because I like those things to be snuggly soft!

I will definitely be buying this detergent again. Since I already use Purex products regularly, I am thinking that this Purex plus Fabric Softener with Crystals Fragrance will help eliminate the need to buy so many additional products. I think I will still buy the Purex Crystals just in case I want to add in a shake or two of extra fragrance. :) I really do love the Fresh Spring Waters fragrance so I'm glad this product was offered in that scent. If you are looking for an effective, affordable detergent that gets out everyday stains and leaves your clothes smelling fresh for days, you will love this product!
